A liar that you used to love...

And then push came to shove...

How did you not read the signs?

A whiner, a liar, a word that she called me.

"Whatever, whatever, whatever."

She wants your trust as she wants mine.

I'm not granting her that-
Mine or yours.

Though twas amazing, you realizing us right.

I don't want to repeat that time.

That horrid, horrid time.

Then there's the friend who started it all. 
Then there's the friend who read the signs. 
She warned you, but all you said was
"Never, never, never."

You said "never, never, never."

She doesn't even remember...
She's long forgotten what caused this hate. 
But that's just her for you. 

Plasters on, that goofy grin. 
Looks you in the eye. 
Asks you if you're really friends,
Right?

Would you really be that mean?
Could you be that cruel?

The dreaded day comes, she walks with you to class. 
Everyone sees you. 
The boy I never talk to asks if you've met. 
The girl across from me in class asks if we're friends. 

I reply "God, no!" 
I see her again, first period PE. 
She canters across the field.


Plasters on, that goofy grin. 
Looks me in the eye. 
Asks me if we're really friends,
Right?

"Yes."

Didn't even follow my own rules. 

I'm a liar. 

Next day, library at lunch.

She fights her friend, and asks for my help. 

I break my solemn oath again. 

I say, to her friend. "She's fine."

How could I?
Tomorrow will come again,
I won't speak to her.
Just as you won't speak to her.
