"A Needle in a Haystack"!

Privyet! Heartsstarssmiles here! I wrote a short story last year called "A Needle in a Haystack." Here it is:

There was once a giant and an ant.  They were mortal enemies.  They fought very often, physically, but neither of them ever succeeded.  The giant would try to step on the ant, but it was like trying to kill a germ by stepping on them.  The ant would punch the giant, but fail.  Think of it this way: can you punch Mount Everest?  Well, yes, but it won’t collapse, will it?

And that’s the way it was for a decade.  But one day, the wizard Roseclare grew sick of their fighting, so she gave them a task to do: find a needle in a haystack.  “I expect this to be done by midnight,” she said.

“By midnight?!” the giant and the ant complained.

“Yes, and if it’s not done, you will face harder challenges.”

“Like what?”

“Finding a germ, maybe.  A specific germ.”  With that, she vanished.

“I can do it without you!” they both yelled at each other.  The giant made the haystack collapse, but could not find the needle, while the ant pounded the giant.  Roseclare could clearly see that they were not working together.  She sent them another one.  The ant tried to knock down the haystack, but in vain.

It was an hour before midnight, when, finally, the giant knocked down the haystack.  “I see it, I see it!” the ant shouted, then ran to the shiny needle.  

“Good job, buddy,” the giant said.

“Buddy?” the ant looked up. “Buddy!”

Roseclare appeared.  “I’m impressed!” she said.

The friends looked at each other.  They smiled.  “I couldn’t have done it without you,” they said in unison.

            And so, the ant and the giant learned a great lesson that day: teamwork is very  important and powerful, and can even create ever-lasting friendships!

"Sadness"!

Tja! Heartsstarssmiles here! So, for English, we were supposed to write a feeling poem. I decided to write about sadness. Here it is:

Sadness

Friend or foe?

Who wants to feel

Trapped…nowhere to go

A puppet on strings

Nothing more 

Why kill the person

Inside you

So full of life

You’re screaming

“Let me go!”

Trapped like a mime

You want to open the door

Run off of the face

Of the earth

Only to find out

That it’s a never-ending journey

“I wish…” you say

Blow out the candles

With a pinch of salt

It could come true

Who knows?

You look up

Kneel down

Shake your fists

Forward, back

Forward, back

Repeat

Repeat until your hands

Are numb

That’s when you

Pick up speed

You feel your thoughts

On the tip of your tongue

But hold it back

So much has happened since we last spoke! My life is awesome! I performed the song) (you know, "Alone" in front of the class. I was so nervous, but I managed.

I'd like to give a shoutout to some new readers of the blog: Hey! It's heartsstarssmiles! I have Social Studies with you guys! Just wanted to say thank you for all your encouragement. Since I'm anonymous, I can't post videos of me singing, but, who knows? Maybe I won't stay anonymous forever!

"Alone"!

Heyeyeyeyeyeyeyyeyeyeyeyyeeyeyyeyeyeyeyy! Heartsstarssmiles here! You know how, earlier, I told you that It Is Unknown and I had—and by "had," I mean "got"—to create some kind of art for school (it was everyone who has our teacher). I wrote a song! Here's "Alone":

Feels Like Summer...

Spring is in the air! Actually, it will be this Wednesday! But, you know, it's so hot here! Not too hot, but warm enough to remind me of last summer!

Ahhhh, the good ol' summer days! School let out early, and we were so excited! You probably know that I love school! Yeah, well, I like vacation, too!

It Is Unknown came to my house practically every week (and she still does)! We had so much fun going everywhere! I loved that warm feeling! I love spring and summer! Iht's when Persephone gets to reunite with her mother, Demeter! But, fall and winter is nice, too, just not in that story.

So, enjoy while it lasts! =D

You Obviously Love Oreos! I read somewhere that that's what YOLO stands for, so I use it in that case, just so you know. Anyway, heartsstarssmiles here! You notice that It Is Unknown and I haven't been posting much lately? Yeah, in a post from a month or two ago, she mentioned that maybe we shouldn't post as much, "give you guys a break." Old Friends!

Ever accidentally meet people you haven't had contact with in years? It happens too often to me! =D

My Dead Fish!

>O Heartsstarssmiles here! In case you didn't know, ">O" is a fish. It's like one of my many dead fish.

When I was really little, I don't remember when, my dad got me two fish. I loved them so much! Unfortunately, one of them died soon, but I moved on. A few years later, my dad got me another fish, who also died soon after that. Then, exactly three years ago, the last one died!

I was very sad! I wasn't crying, but my last pet died! I couldn't believe it! I'm past mourning now, but I always remember this day. Call me crazy, but fish are creatures, too! No smiley face for this part of the post. =(

But, you know, I'm getting used to taking care of these REALLY strange creatures called...humans! They're so crazy! I mean, with It Is Unknown and me originating from Mars, yeah, we don't have much experience. We want to move to Pluto when we grow up. It's small only because there aren't much people there. You know why? Because only the smartest people, like you, can live there! =D

I've Been Busy!

14! Heartsstarssmiles here! Sorry I haven't updating as often as I used to (ie, daily). I've been busy. It Is Unknown and I have a lot of homework!

You know what's weird? In my middle school years, I always get a lot of homework at the beginning of the school year, and I mean A LOT!! Then , it reduces to a reasonable couple-hours-a-day pace. Occasionally, there's too much homework that night, but it's rare.

So yeah, I've been busy (watching TV show marathons, loljk).

Happy Birthday to Me!

Feliz cumpleaños, even if it's not your birthday! Heartsstarssmiles here! Today is the day we've all been waiting for...my birthday! I'm a teenager! This is amazing!

I know I've told you this story before, but I'm going to tell you again: During the first week of first grade, our teacher wanted us to play a few icebreakers. One of them was that we had to turn to someone near us and tell them our birthday. Cho Hee and I turned to each other and said "March 6th" at the exact same time! We were so excited that we forgot about "Jinx." We immediately told the teacher about our discovery!

Now Less Than 6!

Anyway, hyalo! It's heartsstarssmiles! Right now, it's about five-and-a-half hours until my birthday! Every few minutes, I get this ecstatic feeling that I just can't explain! I've been counting down to my birthday for 49 days, and it's almost here! And of all the people (of course, we're all seventh graders) who have the same English teacher as me, of all of those who have birthdays this week (four of us), I'm the youngest! One of my teachers advertises people's birthdays on the board, and this week, it's my time!

Yeah. You heard it. ROLE MODEL. For god-dangs sake, she's fifteen! When friday came out, she was thirteen. A year older then I, and I assure you, that if a million people hated me, and wanted to kill me... I would be SO depressed. She's cheery. Less Than 36 Hours!

Happy Birthday! It's my friend's birthday today! Yeah, it was fun! Every day, I bring some food to school that I share with everyone. Usually, I give everyone one, but, since it's her birthday, a few friends and I decided to give her something, and I gave her two (hey, it's the birthday discount!). I screamed "Kara, happy birthday!" as I went to her, surrounded by three of our friends. They're awesome!

x has many, many values  (I know we're getting a bit algebraic here), and one of them is...MY BIRTHDAY!! Yes, the day I've been counting down to for 47 days! This is amazing! Your birthday only comes once a year, so enjoy it to the fullest! OMG, I cant believe that I'm almost a teenager! I'm 12 years and 363 days old!

On March 6, 2000, I was born sometime around (I know the exact time, but, well, you know...) 5 am. It's been almost thirteen years since then! Oh, how time flies! Before you know it, I'll be celebrating the big 5-0! Yeah, this blog will only die when we do! =D

Horrible Dancing!

Heyeyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey! Heartsstarssmiles here! I've been thinking for sometime, is there such thing as horrible dancing?

Dancing is fun! It's a way to express yourself! And, sometimes, it's a time to be completely dorky!

Look at "Gangnam Style," for example. The horse-riding dance is kinda cheesy. Actually, that's the point: "Dress classy and dance cheesy!" My friends and I (more than one group) like to dance and sing to it! I mean, come on, it's so, so catchy!

I think that people should be free to sing and dance whenever they feel like it, no matter how supposedly bad they are! It's a way to express ourselves! It Is Unknown and I like to sing whenever we're together, be it class, lunch, home...anywhere, really! =D

My Interesting Lunch!

Hola! Heartsstarssmiles here! I had a very interesting lunch today!

On Wednesday, Hansel, some guy we don't know, proposed to my friend Jessi. Like, got down on one knee and had a ring and everything! He was even dressed up! Of course it was a joke...I think. By the way, she said she got cold feet.

Yesterday, he proposed to my other friend, Tina. She was the first to say yes out of at least 13 girls! She knew it was a joke, but she played along. She didn't know him either! He picked her up a few times and hugged her and all! A crowd was forming. I'm in the yearbook staff, so I took tons of pictures with my yearbook camera. I was screaming so loud and laughing so hard! My friend James didn't want to take any pictures of him. He swore that if I took a single picture of him, he would break the camera. Of course he didn't mean it...I think.

Life can never be boring around here! =D

5 More Days!

5 more days! In case you were wondering, the countdown began 44 days ago!

I have a friend who's two days older than me! We became friends last year, because we both did orchestra (violin) and piano/keyboard! We ended up in the same class for both! =D

Things are switching up a bit. But don't worry, I'll go back to normal!

Or at least as normal as it gets around here...
